Admission/Direct Entry Requirements for Library and Information Science in Imo State University

On this article we are going to talk about the admission requirement for Library and information science for those aspiring to join the department in Imo state university

Admission Requirements  

Candidates for direct entry admission must posses at WAEC/NECO/SSCE/NECO or equivalent in not more than two sittings. Credit in English Language, one Science subject and at least a pass in mathematics are required. ND and HND are also accepted for Direct Entry candidates.

Candidates for direct entry admission must possess any of the following qualifications at credit level obtained from any recognized institution of higher learning in Nigeria or overseas;

• National Diploma (ND) in Library and information Science.
• Diploma in Library and Information Science
• NCE in Library and Information Science

Degree Requirements

To be awarded the Bachelor of Library and Information Science, (BLS), the UTME student must complete a 4-year programme, pas the recommended courses and obtain the require number of credits.

Direct entry students spend less years depending on the value of their entry qualification.
