Kaduna Polytechnic Convocation 2026 Schedule, Gown Fee and 70th Anniversary Details
The Rector of Kaduna Polytechnic, Dr. Suleiman Umar, on behalf of the Governing Council, Management, Staff, and Students, has announced the schedule for the combined convocation and 70th anniversary ceremony.
The week-long event will honour graduates from the 2016/2017 to 2024/2025 academic sessions. The ceremony will end with the award of Diplomas, Fellowships, and Prizes on Saturday, 16 May 2026.

Kaduna Polytechnic has released the line-up for the ceremony week. Each event has a set date, time, and venue; graduands and guests need to keep close watch.
Special Juma’ah prayers
The special Juma’ah prayers will hold on Friday, 8 May 2026.

Interdenominational service
The interdenominational service will hold on Sunday, 10 May 2026.

Press conference
The press conference is fixed for Monday, 11 May 2026.

Pre-convocation lecture
The pre-convocation lecture will hold on Friday, 15 May 2026.

The combined convocation and 70th anniversary ceremony will hold on Saturday, 16 May 2026.

Who the Kaduna Polytechnic convocation will honour
The ceremony will recognise graduates from the 2016/2017 through 2024/2025 academic sessions.
The grand finale will include the award of Diplomas, Fellowships, and Prizes. That is the closing point of the celebration, and it gives the whole programme its clear focus.
Academic gown collection and return rules
Kaduna Polytechnic has also issued directions for academic gowns. Graduands need to note the payment amount, collection point, and return deadline.
Payment for academic gowns
Each graduand is to pay a total of N20,000.
This amount covers:
- N10,000 for rental
- N10,000 as a refundable deposit
Payment is to be made at Kadpoly Micro Finance Bank, Central Administration, Main Campus.
Collection point for gowns
Graduands can begin gown collection on Monday, 11 May 2026.
Collection venue: Department of Polymer and Textile Technology, College of Science and Technology, Main Campus
Return deadline and late penalty
Academic gowns must be returned on or before Tuesday, 19 May 2026.
Late return will attract a penalty of N1,000 per day. That date matters, and the fee for delay is plainly stated.
