Edo State University, Iyamho, ESUI, has commenced registration for the 2026/2027 Post-UTME and Direct Entry screening exercise.
The screening is for candidates who chose ESUI as first choice and scored 150 or above at the 2026 UTME, as well as Direct Entry candidates who registered through JAMB and meet the University’s Direct Entry requirements.
What is the ESUI Post UTME and Direct Entry screening date?
The registration window opened on Friday, 12 June 2026 and will end on Monday, 31 August 2026.
Candidates seeking undergraduate admission should complete the online registration, upload the required documents and ensure that O’Level results are on JAMB CAPS on or before 31 August 2026.
Who is eligible for ESUI Post UTME screening?
UTME candidates will be eligible where they sat for the 2026 UTME, obtained at least 150 and met the University-approved cut-off mark for the chosen programme.
The candidate must also have selected Edo State University, Iyamho, as first choice on JAMB, possess the required O’Level credits as stated for the programme in the JAMB Brochure and be at least 16 years old on or before 30 September 2026.
Can candidates who did not choose ESUI apply?
Candidates who did not initially choose Edo State University, Iyamho, may apply if they scored at least 150 and met the approved cut-off mark for the chosen programme.
Such candidates must first change their first choice to Edo State University, Iyamho, through JAMB Central Admissions Processing System, CAPS, before starting the screening application.
Who is eligible for ESUI Direct Entry screening?
Direct Entry candidates must have registered through JAMB and must meet the University’s Direct Entry requirements.
Direct Entry screening will be online for most applicants, while Direct Entry candidates for Medicine and Surgery, Nursing and Law will also sit for the Post-DE Screening Test on campus.

How much is the ESUI screening fee?
UTME and Direct Entry candidates will pay a non-refundable screening fee of ₦2,000.
Transfer candidates will pay a non-refundable transfer application fee of ₦60,000.
All payments must be made only through the Remita platform on the University website and candidates should not pay into private accounts or make payment through individuals.
How will candidates apply for ESUI Post UTME or Direct Entry?
Candidates for UTME and Direct Entry admission should use the ESUI UTME and DE admission portal, while inter-university transfer applicants should use the ESUI transfer admission portal.
The registration process should be followed in this order:
- Visit the correct University admission portal for the chosen application category.
- Select the preferred category, such as Undergraduate, Transfer, JUPEB or Postgraduate.
- Click “Admissions” where needed and choose the suitable category.
- Click “Admission Requirements/Details” and read the guidelines before moving ahead.
- Click “Application Forms” and enter the JAMB Registration Number in the required format.
- Use a personal email address and phone number for the whole process.
- Complete all required steps and upload all supporting documents.
- Re-login through the “Already Applied?” option to check application status.
Candidates should use the same personal details across JAMB CAPS and the ESUI application portal, including JAMB Registration Number, date of birth, state of origin and other records.
Which candidates will attend physical screening on campus?
Applicants for Medicine and Surgery, Nursing and Law will be required to attend a Post-UTME Screening Test on campus.
The date and time for the on-campus test will be communicated later and screening for these programmes will be based on the Post-UTME Test, verified JAMB score and O’Level results uploaded on JAMB CAPS.
Which candidates will be screened online?
All other UTME programmes will be screened online only.
The online screening will be based on verified JAMB scores and O’Level results uploaded to JAMB CAPS, while Direct Entry candidates will also be screened online except those applying for Medicine and Surgery, Nursing and Law.
Can candidates with awaiting results apply?
Candidates awaiting NABTEB, WAEC May/June or NECO June/July 2026 results may apply.
Such candidates will be considered for admission only if the results are uploaded to JAMB CAPS on or before 31 August 2026.
What should candidates check before final submission?
Candidates should ensure that the information on JAMB CAPS matches the Post-UTME application portal.
The mobile telephone number and functional email address supplied during registration should remain active, since they will be used for later contact from the University.
Candidates who complete the application and upload O’Level results to JAMB CAPS on or before the deadline will be considered for admission.
How will admission offers be accepted?
Any offer of admission must be accepted on JAMB CAPS within two weeks of the offer being made.
Failure to accept the offer within this period will lead to automatic withdrawal of the admission offer.
What payment warning has been issued to applicants?
Any applicant who pays individuals, private accounts or channels other than the Remita platform through the University website does so at personal risk.
Admission into Edo State University, Iyamho, is based on merit and due process and admission is not for sale.
