Delta State College of Health Technology, Ovrode Admission Forms for 2026/2027 Academic Session | ND, Diploma & Certificate Programmes

Delta State College of Health Technology, Ovrode, has announced the start of admission into its National Diploma, Diploma and Certificate courses for the 2026/2027 academic session.

Delta State Government established the College in 2025 to train middle-level healthcare providers for primary, secondary and tertiary levels of the healthcare delivery system.

What Courses Are Available at Delta State College of Health Technology, Ovrode?

The College has listed courses under National Diploma, Diploma and Certificate levels.

Candidates should choose the level that matches their entry record, since each level has a separate O’Level rule.

Which National Diploma Courses Are Available?

The following National Diploma courses are available:

  • Community Health Technology
  • Medical Imaging Technology
  • Paramedics Technology
  • Health Information Management
  • Medical Laboratory Technology
  • Dispensing Opticianry
  • Dental Therapy
  • Environmental Health
  • Public Health Technology

What Are the Entry Requirements for ND Courses?

Candidates applying for National Diploma courses, with or without JAMB, must have five O’Level credits from WASC, NECO or GCE.

The credits must be obtained at not more than two sittings and must include:

  • Biology
  • Physics
  • Chemistry
  • Mathematics
  • English Language

This requirement applies to all listed ND courses, including Community Health Technology, Medical Imaging Technology, Paramedics Technology, Health Information Management Technology, Medical Laboratory Technology, Dispensing Opticianry, Dental Therapy, Environmental Health Technology and Public Health Technology.

What Are the Entry Requirements for Diploma Courses?

Candidates applying for Diploma courses do not need JAMB.

They must have five O’Level credits from WASC, NECO or GCE, obtained at not more than two sittings.

The required subjects are:

  • Biology
  • Physics
  • Chemistry
  • Mathematics
  • English Language

This rule applies to Community Health Extension Worker, Pharmacy Technician, Medical Laboratory Technician, Dispensing Opticianry and Health Information Management, Technician.

What Are the Entry Requirements for Certificate Courses?

Candidates applying for Certificate courses must have three O’Level credits from WASC, NECO or GCE.

The credits must be obtained at not more than two sittings and must include:

  • Biology
  • Mathematics
  • English Language

This requirement applies to Junior Community Health Extension Worker, Physiotherapy, Health Care Giver, Health Assistants and Occupational Therapy.

How Can Candidates Apply?

Applicants are to apply online through the Delta State College of Health Technology Ovrode application portal.

Candidates should complete the online form with correct personal and academic details.

How Much Is the Application Fee?

The application fee is ₦15,500.

The fee is non-refundable and will be required before the online application process can be completed.

When Will the Entrance Examination Hold?

The entrance examination will hold on 24 August 2026.

The venue is the College premises and the examination will start at 10:00 am.

What Rules Apply to the Entrance Examination?

Candidates are reminded that phones and smartwatches are not allowed inside the examination hall.

Applicants should prepare for the examination and arrive with the required items allowed by the College.

What Should Candidates Check Before Submission?

Candidates should check their chosen course, study level, O’Level subjects, number of sittings and payment details before final submission.

A candidate applying for a Certificate course, for example, should confirm that Biology, Mathematics and English Language are present, while an ND or Diploma applicant should confirm that the five required science subjects are complete.
