Nnamdi Azikiwe University (UNIZIK), Awka has invited suitably qualified candidates to apply for admission into the Joint Universities Preliminary Examinations Board (JUPEB) Programme for the 2026/2027 academic session.

The programme leads to the award of a JUPEB Certificate and the certificate enables candidates to seek Direct Entry admission into Nnamdi Azikiwe University, Awka and other JUPEB-affiliated universities in Nigeria and abroad.

Who Can Apply for UNIZIK JUPEB Admission?

Candidates must have credit-level passes in at least five relevant subjects, including English Language.

The results must be obtained at a maximum of two sittings and the subjects must be relevant to the candidate’s intended course of study at the University.

Are Awaiting Results Accepted?

Awaiting result is not allowed for the UNIZIK JUPEB application.

Candidates should have the required O’Level result before starting the online application.

How Long Is the UNIZIK JUPEB Programme?

The programme will last for one academic session.

The academic session will be made up of two semesters.

What Can the JUPEB Certificate Be Used For?

The JUPEB Certificate enables candidates to gain Direct Entry admission into Nnamdi Azikiwe University, Awka.

It may also be used for Direct Entry admission into other JUPEB-affiliated universities in Nigeria and abroad, subject to the admission rules of the receiving university.

How Can Candidates Apply for UNIZIK JUPEB Admission?

Candidates are to apply through the UNIZIK JUPEB application portal.

The application process will be completed as follows:

1. Visit the UNIZIK JUPEB application portal.
2. Click “Start Application” or “Apply Now”.
3. Supply the candidate’s name exactly as arranged on the NIN slip.
4. Enter a valid phone number and email address.
5. Proceed to make payment through Credo Pathway.
6. Copy or print the application number displayed after payment.
7. Use the application number to complete registration.
8. Complete the application form after payment redirection.
9. Review all information before submission.
10. Print the application form.

Candidates should select the correct subject combination and enter their name as it appears on the NIN slip, since errors may affect the application.

What General Rules Should Applicants Note?

Applicants for the 2026/2027 Preliminary Programme are advised to check the University website from time to time for admission status and other updates.

All candidates will be required to register for 2027 JAMB Direct Entry during the programme.

Candidates must use valid email addresses and personal phone numbers during the online application.

Are Printed or Downloaded Forms Accepted?

The forms must be filled and submitted online, either immediately or within two weeks of accessing the website.

Downloaded or printed copies of forms will not be accepted for submission.

When Will UNIZIK JUPEB Application Close?

Submission of 2026/2027 session online application forms will close on Saturday, 31 October 2026 at 11.59pm.

Candidates should complete payment, registration, form submission and printing before the closing time.
