UNIPORT Promotes 17 to Professorial Cadre and 13 to Reader: Full List and Disciplines

The University of Port Harcourt has approved the promotion of 17 academic staff to the professorial cadre and 13 others to the rank of Reader.

The management said the elevation reflects their contributions to teaching, research and service to the university and the wider academic community. The Promotion List covers a wide spread of fields; from Geology and Psychiatry to Gas Engineering and Agricultural Extension.

UNIPORT Promotion Update

The approved promotion covers two academic ranks.

Seventeen staff members moved to the professorial cadre, while 13 others were promoted to Reader. The list released by the university names each staff member and area of specialisation.

Vice-Chancellor’s Message

The Vice-Chancellor, Professor Owunari Abraham Georgewill, congratulated the promoted staff on the achievement.

He also wished them continued success and greater accomplishments in their academic and professional work.
