UNIUYO update regarding the Christmas and New year break
The Directorate of Information and Public Relations of the Students’ Union, University of Uyo, has issued a clarification on the operational schedule of the institution following the Christmas and New Year holidays.
According to a press release signed by the Director of Information and Public Relations, Mr. Godwin Patrick, the University of Uyo will remain officially open immediately after the holiday period. However, the release explained that activities during this time will be limited mainly to administrative and essential staff operations.
The statement further noted that the campus will also be accessible to students who may have urgent academic or administrative matters requiring attention. Students are therefore advised to plan their return to campus accordingly.
The Students’ Union emphasized that full academic activities will resume later, announcing that lectures are scheduled to commence on Monday, 5th January 2026.
The Directorate thanked students for their cooperation and urged them to take note of the clarified schedule.
