Taraba State University, often called TASU, has opened its pre-degree application window for the 2026/2027 academic session.

The notice comes from the Gen. TY Danjuma College of Preliminary Studies in Jalingo. About the Pre-Degree Options

The college is offering three main tracks for the session:

Pre-Science

Designed for students who plan to enter science-related degree courses at TASU. It helps them build core subjects like mathematics and basic sciences.

Pre-Art

Suitable for students who want to prepare for degree courses in humanities and related areas. It provides grounding in reading, writing and social studies.

Pre-Commercial

Suited to students intending to study management, commerce or similar fields. It gives support in subjects connected with business and finance.

Entry Requirements

Students applying for any of the pre-degree tracks must have at least five credits in relevant subjects from SSCE, NECO or NABTEB examinations. These credits should match the intended degree pathway so that students can progress smoothly after the programme.

How to Apply

Application forms are available online through the university portal at TSU application portal.
After payment, each applicant should complete the form online, print it and submit the hard copy to the College Director’s Office in Takum. Photocopies of the applicant’s credentials must be attached before submission.

Students who prefer in-person support may visit the college to complete the online steps.
