Reasons why Imo State University (IMSU) aspirants fail to get admission
Imo State University, Owerri, (IMSU) do not deny anybody admission for no reason.
The reasons why Imo State University aspirants fail to get admission and little errors made by aspirants which prevents the school from admitting them will be discussed in this article.
Below is the list of issues that can hinder a candidate from getting admission in Imo State University, Owerri
Course Mismatch
Under normal circumstances, the course a candidate selects in JAMB should be the same course such candidate should apply for during IMSU Post UTME registration. E.g., If you select Nursing Science during JAMB registration, same course Nursing Science should be selected during the IMSU Post UTME registration. Failure to do this will hinder you from getting admission in IMSU.
Low JAMB score
Imo State University, Owerri, IMSU Cut of mark in the past years till present has been placed at 150, Not scoring 150 and above which is the university’s cut off mark can hinder such candidate from being admitted in IMSU
Low Post UTME score
Low Post UTME score is another key factor why you might get rejected for IMSU admission; in a situation whereby IMSU conducts Post UTME exam as means of screening, if your Post UTME score is not up to the departmental cut off mark of the course you want to study, you will not be offered admission
Failure to do Post UTME validation
IMSU asked all 2021/2022 session Post UTME candidates to revalidate their registration, most especially those candidates who made mistakes during their registration. Those who feel revalidation is not important and failed to do it might not be admitted.
IMSU not set as first choice
Most Nigerian Institutions do not admit candidates who put her as second choice of institution in JAMB including Imo State University, Owerri. If IMSU is not your First choice of institution in JAMB, kindly apply for data correction so as to change it to first choice and increase your chances of getting admission.
Poor O,level Result
Every candidate is expected to have at least credit in English and mathematics including any other five (5) subjects relating to their choice of course. Poor O’level result has denied many admissions in the past.
Note; One can use double sitting e.g. WAEC and NECO, WAEC and WAEC, NECO and NECO etc.
O level upload failure
It is mandated for all aspirants to upload their O’level during registration or after JAMB registration if not, its assumed you don’t have an O’level and therefore be denied admission.
Hence all the criteria above are met, you will offered a provisional admission in Imo State University.
