IMSU Commences Post UTME/Direct Entry registration for 2025/2026 Session; How to apply

Imo State University, Owerri, hereby announces to the general public, especially its prospective students, that it has commenced the registration of candidates for the 2025/2026 POST-UTME and direct entry screening exercise.

Eligibility

1. Candidates must have chosen imo state university, owerri as first choice of university and scored minimum of 150 in the UTME.
2. Candidates who did not choose imo state university as first choice university but scored the required cut-off mark may also apply on the condition that they visit the jamb website and change their instition of first choice to imo state university, owerri
3. Direct entry candidates must be holders of OND/HND/First degree, ‘A’ Level or their equivalents in relevant discipline and subjects.
4. Candidates must ensure that their qualifying results were uploaded to jamb.
5. Candidate whose ‘O’ Level results are being awaited are advised to also upload same to jamb soon as the results were released. Candidates that failed to upload their results to jamb will not be considered for admission.

How to Apply

1. Visit the university website at: www.imsuonlinesite.edu.ng and click on 2025/2026  Post-UTME/Direct Entry Application.
2. Enter your JAMB registration number to check for eligibility. If eligible, proceed to make payment.
3. Enter correctly your JAMB reg. number only as the invoice  number, make payment of N2000 naira and generate reciept.
4. Go back to www.imsuonlinesite.edu.ng after 24 hours of completing payment, click on 2025/2026  Post-UTME/Direct Entry Application again to complete the application form.
5. Present the Acknowledgement slip at the PUTME/DE screening venue on the date of the screening examination.

Direct Entry Candidates

In addition to the online application, direct entry candidates must also ensure that their OND/HND/First degree transcripts, O and A level results or their equivalents are forwarded to the registrar, Imo State University, Owerri

Aptitude Test

The specific date and time for individual candidates will be communicated in due course.

Closing Date

Closing date for this exercise is Monday, 4^th August, 2025.
